Release Schedule Update - Monday 3/8/10

It's Unicorn release week, so why not use a Unicorn picture again? Besides, Kshatriya kicks ass.

Another Monday, another update. Lets get started, since there is a lot to go over.

Up first, the return of 2nd GIG. I know I promised these last week but circumstances once again prevented that. Don't worry, episodes 14 and 15 will be releasing shortly after this post. I'm hopeful that another two will come out late this week.

On to 08th MS Team. We only have 3 episodes to go, and the recreation of Bandai Ent.'s clean ending for episode 11 was successful, so Episodes 10 and 11 will be out this week, with Episode 12 possible this week as well.

Next up, Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage. I have the first two of four discs ready for encoding, and I'd like to resume releasing these this week or next week. Nothing much else about this.

Lets talk upcoming releases now. Zeta Gundam's test encode was a success and has been passed to the staff for inspection. If all looks well, Qriist can start encoding them later this week. As the encode time per episode is very long, I'd like to let Qriist work ahead for a few weeks to build a stockpile. The estimated start date for Zeta is early April, after the last of Geass R2 and the start of 00 season 2.

I've also purchased, using donations, DVD's for a new series. I'm not going to announce it yet as I'm still securing BD ISO's to encode from, but it does give us another show on deck. More on that as things get closer to starting, but I wouldn't expect it until mid to late summer.

In other release matters, as some of you may be aware, the site's 1 year anniversary is coming up on April 5th. We have a few surprises in store to roll out sometime around then, though they may not be ready for their debut on the anniversary. Still, we have some new things planned that I think will be of interest to many people, and might provide an opportunity for some interested parties to join our team.

Lastly, I spoke about this last week, but now the plans have been set in stone. Myself, a friend, and EZ8 will all be attending the screening of Gundam Unicorn Episode 1 at the Viz Cinema in San Francisco, CA on Saturday, March 20th at 2:30pm. If anyone else will be in the area and would like to join us, let us know in the comments. Below is a link to the event page where you can pre-order tickets.
