Release Schedule Update - Monday 3/1/10

Week8

Wow, March already? That means only 12 days until Unicorn Vol. 1! Anyway, congrats to ExcaliburXDestiny for the winning submission in the Photoshop contest!

So, now that all my much needed computer upgrades are done, including doubling my file storage by adding a dedicated 1.5TB drive for anime projects, replacing my aging 8800GTX card with a new GTX 260, and getting a new keyboard, I'm ready to get back to work on releases. Lets take a look at whats on deck this week.

Up first, releasing tomorrow is episode 8 of 08th MS Team. I had wanted to get that going on Sunday but I decided to take a break. I'll shoot for Episode 9 on Wednesday.

This week also sees the return of 2nd GIG after a 2 week break. Expect at least 2 episodes in the later half of the week, if not 3 episodes. Aside from the break (hopefully) next month for 00 and Geass, GitS will stay on the schedule until it is completed. I am STILL trying to get the last couple hundred megs for the Individual Eleven compilation, so it is possible that Solid State Society will release before Individual Eleven. We'll see what happens.

The BD's for the first half of Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage are out, so BD ISO's should be available soon. Once I can get my hands on those, Second Barrage will kick off.

I didn't finish my entire cover art update last week so I'll be trying to make some time to finish that up this week. I have to scan the rest of the items I need to update, and I've just been too lazy to hook up my scanner. I'll get around to it sooner or later.

On the topic of Gundam Unicorn, I'll be attending one of the afternoon screenings at VIZ Cinema in San Francisco, CA, on Saturday the 20th. Along with myself and one of my friends, EZ8 and a friend are also likely to attend. If anyone else in the area is interested in meeting up with us, drop us a message in the post comments and once the screening time we'll be at is finalized, we'll be sure to coordinate with anyone else interested in joining us. No crazy stalker people or we'll have to kill you.

Lastly, lets talk about the caption contest. So far, the response has been somewhat lukewarm. I am of the opinion that it is partly my fault, being that pictures I find funny for captioning may not be funny to anyone else. So, now, I'm going to be changing up the way it works. Starting this week, you can post just an image OR an image and a caption of your own. Each week, we'll pick from the submissions and choose one we like for the weekly post.

A few little details about this new setup. If your caption doesn't get selected, you may re-submit it for the next week. After that, you have to take it out of the submission pool for at least two weeks. Also, you may submit as many images as you want in a week. Lastly, while it won't be available immediately, guests will be able to submit images/images+captions, without needing to register for the forum. We'll run that on a trial basis. All previous rules for image submissions stand.

So, you can find the new submission thread HERE. Have at it!

With that out of the way, I'll shut up and go back to work for another week. As always, thanks for your support!
