New Poll Update - 3D Anime

Results from Favorite Series So Far (12/29/09):

Gundam Wing - 42 (8%)
Full Metal Panic - 31 (6%)
Code Geass - 80 (16%)
Code Geass R2 - 86 (17%)
Gundam 00 - 108 (21%)
Outlaw Star - 39 (7%)
Ghost in the Shell - 106 (21%)

Well this was certainly a very close race, it was fun to see Gundam 00 and GitS go neck-n-neck until the final hours, but alas, Section 9 was just no match against Celestial Being's popularity and fell short. Yes, I know, if Code Geass and R2 were counted as one, their combined votes would beat the crap out of everything else. But I felt they should have been counted as separate shows and if Gundam 00 Season 2 and GitS 2nd Gig were included, I would've done the same.

This week's poll will be looking at the sudden rise in popularity of "3D". I got this idea 2 weeks ago after hearing all the buzz at CES 2010 (Consumer Electronics Show) about 3D HDTVs and 3D video games being the future of entertainment. And of course there's the billion dollar mega-hit movie Avatar. So I'm wondering, how would you feel when a stereoscopic 3D effect is applied to anime? Now I'm talking about like a mainstream anime series or film that gets broadcast in Japan and will require you to wear those 3D shutterglasses when watching fansubs, DVDs, or Blu-Rays, at least for now, because I think its only a matter of time.

Additionally, I did not take this idea from ANN's Answerman column. It is merely a coincidence that we happen to pose similar questions and besides, this is big tech news right now. Let me know what you think in the comments or if you want, you can write to Answerman.
