Mobile Suit Gundam - The 08th MS Team Remastered Ep. 1 (DVD)

EP01-01
Episode 1: War for Two

U.C. 0079. The Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon are at war. In space, a Federation shuttle heads for Earth. On board are Ensign Shiro Amada and Michel Ninorich, en route to a new assignment. Nearby, a damaged GM fights a losing battle and its pilot Terry Sanders wonders if his luck has run out. Shiro sorties in a Ball and repels the Zaku attacking Sanders, but loses his mobile suit in the process. Both Shiro and the enemy pilot take refuge in a derelict Federation cruiser. Shiro spots the Zeon pilot, and she begins shooting at him. He notices she is wounded and tries to inspect it. After patching up the wound, Shiro tells the Zeon pilot that they have to work together if they want to survive. As Shiro explores the wreckage of the ship, he sees a missile and has an idea to use it to signal a rescue. As they float in space, two Zakus approach, and as the Zeon pilot leaves she tells Shiro her name is Aina Sahalin. Sanders approaches with his GM, and Aina tells the Zaku pilots to leave them alone. On the shuttle, Michel is shocked that Shiro survived. He tells Sanders that his new assignment is to the 08th Team and that Shiro is their commander.

So, here it is, our first full blown encode of a series, and the big reveal to the secret I've been teasing for months! Once again, I'd like to thank everyone who helped with the encoding process. Cman, for giving me a crash course in using MeGUI, Xtras, for leading me on the right path with the filters, and shunjou, for helping me to perfect the filtering process and configure the x264 profile to get the best possible encode. None of this would have been possible without you guys.

Additionally, thanks once more to Qriist for the spectacular MKV Fixer utility, specifically Transmux. Thanks to the HE-AAC, the English and Japanese stereo tracks combined take up less than a singe AAC file would if encoded with stock settings.
