Future Project Consideration: Eureka Seven

So, normally I wouldn't make a post like this, but considering the response it got during the poll we did a while back, and the opportunity to get the DVD's cheap, I wanted to bring it up. At the moment, all but two of the Eureka 7 DVD's are in the bargain bin at RightStuf for 3 bucks each (except Volume 1, which only has the LE...more on that in a sec).

I've sourced a set of BD raws for the project, and can download them, but I need the DVD's in order to do a dual-audio version. Right now, to get all but two volumes, it would cost 44 dollars. I'd personally cover 14 of that since I'd be getting the LE versions of Volume 1 and 7 as they have the artboxes, and I love my artboxes. The LE's are $10 each, so, for the math-challenged among us, that makes a $7 difference per LE that I'd cover. So, factoring in shipping, at $12, that's 56 dollars for all but two discs (Vol. 2 and Vol. 11). I can likely get the two missing discs at a steep discount as well if I shop around. The two Complete Collection sets combined would cost around $85, unless I wait for a 40% off Bandai products sale.

As it stands, since I don't own the series and didn't have any direct intention of buying it, the project won't get off the ground without donations to buy the DVD's. Considering the current slate of projects on deck, E7 likely wouldn't even be started until February or so, but I always try and keep an eye on prices for requested series in the event there is a deal like this that would mean fewer donations are needed. Since the prices on these DVD's are some of the steepest discounts I have seen, I thought I'd throw it out there to those of you that wanted to see me do E7. I don't want anyone thinking this is me pushing for donations since I don't much have an interest in E7 and I most likely wouldn't even have considered the series in the first place. Additionally, all donations have always and will always go into the seedbox and/or DVD purchases for new projects.

So, if enough E7 fans are interested in me picking up the dual audio BD project and want to throw a few bucks my way to pay for the DVD's, hit up the PayPal link in the sidebar.
