Update on 720p Releases

Ghost in the Shell S.A.C.:
I have come to the unfortunate decision to cancel the GitS 720p releases, so 1080p will be all that is offered. This is because of a number of reasons:
#1: Technical difficulties! (for some strange reason, the encode is longer so the timing/syncing gets thrown off and its just a big mess)
#2: No siginificant difference in file size. (this was one of the main reasons I offered 720p releases in the first place, but it just doesn't seem worth it in this case considering the difference for ep.1 was only ~160MB)
#3: The 720p reencode does not look as sharp as the 1080p. (normally it's hard to tell the difference, but this time the loss in quality for the CGI scenes was enough for me to see)
#4: Lack of time. (college is starting up again, so I won't be as free as in the summer)
However, if OZC is able to find out the problem and its fixable, then I'd be happy to revisit GitS and do the conversions sometime in the future. I will try and see to it that the S.A.C. movies can have 720p versions.
Full Metal Panic:
Continued as planned. Episode 18 720p will be released later today.
