Poll Update

Another week down, which means another poll complete. This last week, we wanted to know what kind of TV you did your primary watching on. There were a lot of choices to choose from, but as I mostly expected, LCD HDTV and PC Monitor were the top two, especially PC Monitor since that can easily include a 720p or 1080p LCD screen, even if you may not have an HDTV otherwise. Anyway, lets look at the results.

LCD HDTV - 135 votes (52%)
PC Monitor - 70 votes (27%)
Plasma HDTV - 21 votes (8%)
CRT SDTV - 11 votes (4%)
Other SDTV - 5 votes (1%)
DLP HDTV - 4 votes (1%)
Other HDTV - 4 votes (1%)
HD Projector - 4 votes (1%)
Rear Projection SDTV - 1 vote (0%)

I was a little surprised that plasmas didn't have a higher count than it did. For you, lone rear projection SDTV watcher, I guess that makes you the Highlander or something. Anyway, as he came up with this week's question, I'll turn it over to EZ8 to finish up the rest of the update.

Thank you OZC. Alright, after 2 weeks of getting to know your media playback preferences, the theme for the next 2 weeks will be us getting to know some general demographics from our viewers.

So to start things off, the poll question is: "How long have you been into Anime?"
However, there is a special rule I want you to follow and that is:
You can only start counting from when you knew what you were watching was called "anime" and did not refer to it as just simply "cartoons".*

For example, I'll use myself, growing up in the U.S., some of the earliest shows I saw on T.V. when I was young were Gundam Wing, Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Pokemon. Though heavily edited, I knew them as simply cartoons. I had no idea what anime was or even heard of the term. I think it wasn't until 2004 that I learned of anime, starting with Gundam SEED...and then I figured out the rest.

*This rule may not apply to all, especially to viewers who are native Japanese or are from various parts of Asia, but I'm sure you'll find an answer choice that fits your situation. That is all.
