Some FMP Info

Just to throw some info out there as I do some "pre-production' work to get ready for FMP, I wanted to detail a few things I've found.

First off, as much as I'd like to, doing clean OP/ED's are not going to happen with FMP either. There are 2 reasons for this, and surprisingly, neither is because of a keyframe issue. First off, preventing the ED replacement, I have found after skimming the first 2 episodes, the ED song plays up over the end of each episode before the actual credits roll, so that rules out doing the ED. Secondly, and a major problem for both OP and ED is that the OP/ED files I have seem to have been ripped incorrectly, forcing them into the wrong aspect ratio. For those of you who have watched the series (or at least the first few episodes, like me), you know that the OP is letterboxed while the rest of the show is fullscreen. The same goes for the ED, but the clean files I have are forced to fullscreen and I can't force them back to the right aspect. Even if I did, there is still the matter of the ED.

Next up, the actual release plans. I started to think about what I wanted to do with 00 and the whole situation of using fansubs versus waiting for the DVD's. I decided to instead continue with putting 00 on hold and switch to releasing FMP until I get access to more 00 subs. While I'm sure that some 00 fans will be disappointed with this, its going to allow me to start getting FMP out a lot earlier than I had expected to. When I get more 00 episodes I can work with, I'll switch back to 00, and work on what is available until I have to put it back on hold.

The FMP releases will pick up after I get back from my camping trip.
