Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Remastered Episode 26 (DVD)

Episode 26: The Eternal Flame of The Shooting Stars

Following Treize's imprisonment, OZ splits into two factions. One continues to follow the rules of Romefeller, while the other one calls itself the Treize Faction and opposes Treize's confinement and the use of mobile dolls. In response, Romefeller begins Operation Nova, and large groups of Virgos are sent to Earth to destroy the Treize Faction. Dermail tells Tubarov that he has to increase production on mobile dolls, and he says that will be no problem. He also says that the Gundam pilots and the new Gundam have been captured. Heero, Quatre, the Mercurius, the remains of the Vayeate, and Wing Zero are taken back to the lunar base. When Quatre sees the wreckage of the Vayeate, he escapes from the guards and collapses near the mobile suit. As the soldiers are about to take Heero and Quatre away, the Treize Faction arrives and takes them to safety with the scientists. The scientists tell them that Wing Zero contains the ZERO System, which increases the skills of a pilot but takes their will away. That is why Quatre went insane.

Nearby, an OZ soldier named Trant has some of his men test the abilities of Wing Zero. He makes the shocking discovery that a pilot using Wing Zero is equal in ability to the Virgo mobile dolls. He gets a call from Tubarov and is ordered to destroy Wing Zero but Trant wants to get data from Gundam pilots before doing so. His men surround the Treize Faction and order them to hand over Heero and Quatre. Heero is placed inside Wing Zero and begins the simulation. The ZERO System begins to mess with his mind, and he believes OZ and the scientists to be his enemies. He activates Wing Zero and goes on a rampage. Quatre steals the Mercurius to stop him. Heero says he will kill Quatre, but Quatre stops him. Quatre and Heero escape just as the damaged Mercurius explodes and causes severe damage to the lunar base. They steal a space shuttle and head for Earth.

This is the sixth of the 7 Gundam Wing episodes coming this week. The final episode for this week will likely go up on Thursday or Friday. Also, as an additional note, since Wing is a 49 episode series, this puts us just past the halfway point for the series, and counting the 3 Endless Waltz episodes, exactly at the halfway point. Too bad the next two episodes are clip shows...

Nice work. How are you going to handle the 3 Endless Waltz episodes? Will you just release the movie since it's all 3 together with extra footage or both?

I already have the raws for the 3 OVA episode versions as they came along with the series raws, so I'll be doing those right after Episode 49, and will include them along with the 5th batch release when it comes out (partly because there are only 4 series OST's, but the Endless Waltz OST gives me a 5th to include with the last batch). The 3 episodes will of course be released standalone as well.

I have to encode the movie myself, so I'll do that sometime shortly after the OVA episodes. I did just get my encoding figured out today though, so doing the movie should be easy enough. If I can make it work, I have clean ED's for Episodes 2 and 3 (since Episode 1 has it's credits set against a black screen) so I may be able to do translated credits for the OVA episodes as well, as long as the keyframes cooperate. The movie will depend on if the DVD has a clean ED as well, but I won't know until it finally downloads.

Well, keep in mind, this week's releases are somewhat of a different situation, since all of these were done while I was away on vacation. Aside from having half of episode 27 done (still needs the subs), my buffer is exhausted now, so things are going to go back to the 2-3 episodes of Wing per week like they have been before. That said, don't be surprised if I do a mad dash to the finish when I hit episode 40, because once the finish line is in sight, I'm going to want to get them done just to say the project is done and mark my fist complete series.

can you have a look a ep 10 & 15 i think ,the stats on then is diff to the rest and i'm get video track errors on these two only

I suggest remuxing those episodes. Those two had the chapters saved into the file after it was muxed instead of me muxing it along with the rest of the files. If you feed it through MKVMerge again making no changes it should fix it.

Fantastic job on your releases so far I'm greatly enjoying your 00 and Wing releases and the couple of movies you've done so far.

It's great to finally get some Blu-ray quality 00 and the remastered Wing and still be able to watch it in the dub (and sub).

It's totally awesome to see someone giving these Blu-rays the dual language treatment.
