Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Update - Bandai Uploads The Rest of Season 1! UPDATE: Release Plans

Great news if you are a fan of Gundam 00, I just checked and Bandai has uploaded the rest of Season 1 to YouTube. This, of course, means that work on 00 is no longer stalled and I can work on that as well. These will take a bit longer as I have to transcribe the subs from the YouTube subtitles. I'll probably release a patch pack for these episodes that use the DVD subs later on, when I have the DVD's.

Anyway, thats another project back in action, so watch for new releases of these as well!

UPDATE: OK, after reviewing my options for raws, I've made a decision on how I'm going to handle 00 from this point forward. My existing raws were just for episodes 1-6, and the ones I was planning to use have stopped at Episode 18 and I can't find anything past that on Share. I've gotten a new set of complete raws from a Chinese source that has all 25 episodes, but they are nearly double the size as my old raws.. This may be due to them contaning an extra language track or not being compressed, whatever it is, I won't know until I get them downloaded. Without going into too many technical details, I have to have raws all encoded exactly the same in order to be able to mix clean OP and ED files into the final product.

The plan now is to re-release the first 3 episodes as v2 releases, and then move on to Episode 4 and beyond. Since the audio editing and subs are done for the first three episodes, and I've been working with a set of clean OP and ED files, so the credits will be ready to go.

When Bandai releases the DVD's in June, I will release a patch pack that updates the subs for the first 9 episodes to the DVD version. If Bandai subs the commentary tracks for the episodes that have commentary, the pack will include added audio tracks. I don't anticipate the pack being more than about 100MB at most.

I'm leaving the existing torrents up and running, but they will not be supported at all from this point on.
